In Loving Memory of Speckles
As Remembered by Lynn & Scott Shaffer
November 10, 2023
She wasn't too sweet
She even bit a few
And don't dare try
To snatch away her Boo
Not much for obeying
Unless a treat was involved
Around apples and Milk Bones
Her whole life revolved
She had no nuance
Walks with Daddy were divine
Using ice machines and vacuum cleaners
Were the worst kind of crime
But this lean, muscled beauty
Could chase a ball for miles
With the speed of Bolt
And the grace of Biles
Intense and decisive
Not easy to dissuade
She entered our lives without notice
And left just the same
All dog owners say,
"Ours was best in the world"
But none will compare
To our Pretty Girl
